We had a Pop Art section in Digital Art. I created Toph from Avatar: The Lat Airbender. I thought she would look good in different colors. I switched the colors from her skin to the background. I also switched her front clothes and her belt colors in each image. I choose a sharp red and green for the outline of the images because it would contrast nicely with the other colors.
This assignment required me to use different images to create one image. We had to take multiple images from different angeles and repeat the images to create a whole. This was hard to do at first because the images did not match up. I took my image of an eagle statue that is on the quad at Juniata College. It was a cloudy day but there are still different values that are presented in the image. This was visual hard to recreate and it took a lot of time to piece together. I did my best with trying to match up the angles of the statue so it would represent a clear image.
This assignment I used newspapers and Adobe Photoshop to recreate an image of a flower that I took. The center of the flower was the hardest to recreate because the picture was blurry in the center. I used a macro lens to take the original picture of the flower. The right picture was the original picture I took and the bottom image is the one I recreated using newspapers.
This assignment was to recreate a memory or dream by scanning objects and putting them into Adobe Photoshop. I used cotton balls, foil, beads, a tissue, and a plastic bag. I manipulated the photos to create a snowy scene in a dream.
